MAINTENANCE TECH
This position will work with the Building Maintenance Coordinator to perform skilled maintenance tasks in the care and upkeep of buildings and grounds. Duties will include carpentry, painting, receiving and delivering supplies to the various district facilities, buildings and equipment maintenance and minor repairs, plumbing and electrical maintenance and minor repairs, landscaping and grounds maintenance, and maintaining operating records of district vehicles. Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or GED and two years satisfactory experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of building and mechanical equipment or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required two years. In addition, a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the district’s auto insurance policy are required. Starting salary: $14.75/hour with benefits to include health, dental, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, holiday and sick leave, IPERS pension plan, and flexible spending plan for health and/or child care.

FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR
Individual needed to provide food service in a large residential facility in Cedar Rapids. Required skills include knowledge of food preparation, serving, storage, sanitation and equipment operation. A 30 hour work week; evenings and weekends will be required. Minimum qualifications require two years full-time experience in industrial or restaurant cooking and possession of an AA degree in food preparation, restaurant management or related field, OR four years experience in food service operation, one year of which includes duties of menu planning, food procurement, and supervision of others in the preparation of food. Starting salary: $14.75 per hour with benefits to include health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, IPERS pension plan, and flexible spending plan for health and/or child care.
